Who can apply to be a BACP member?

Membership is open to Compliance Professionals who:

  • Are employed in the industry - The industry is defined as any entity falling under the regulatory purview of the Central Bank of Barbados, the Financial Services Commission, the Financial Intelligence Unit and or the regulatory provisions of current Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Acts.

  • Hold compliance qualifications, provide services to the compliance industry or otherwise having an interest in compliance may also join the association.

    • Have been attested to be a person of reputable character

    • Upon admission, agrees to and is able to comply with the requirements as set out in the Governance Policy


How do I become a member of BACP?

Prospective members must complete the Membership Application form (press Membership Tab above and click Membership Application form) and submit. There is a BBD $50 non-refundable Application Fee for all prospective members. Once the prospective member has been approved, notice will be sent to the individual that they have been approved and they will be directed to provide payment of the BBD $200.00 Membership Fee.


Is there a membership fee?

All prospective members pay a BBD $50 non-refundable application fee. Once they have received approval, the membership fee of BBD $200 is required.


How do I renew my BACP membership?

Individuals can renew membership by selecting Membership Renewal forms on the website and following the directions provided. Please note that the renewal fee is $200.00.


How often does the association hold workshops?

Workshops are held every other month. For all upcoming events, please check our events and workshops page on the BACP's website.


What are the benefits of being a member?

Being a member of BACP affords you with professional development seminars, networking opportunities and being a contributing asset to the further development of Barbados compliance infrastructure through our stakeholder partnership and programs.
